Kaikoura Lions Pool

The Kaikoura Lions Pool is managed by Sport Tasman on behalf of the Kaikoura District Council.

This facility located along The Esplanade of Kaikoura offers a six lane 33.3 metre pool as well as a separate Learners Pool. This outdoor heated pool is open from November through the summer months weather permitting.

Although not located in the CBD it is easy walking distance from the center of the town and is located opposite many motel and accommodation units.

The Kaikoura Lion's Pool was opened in March 1970 by legendary New Zealand athlete Peter Snell.

The Kaikoura Lions Pool is the only pool available to the public and continues to prove popular during a hot summer.
