Sport Tasman Sport and Recreation teams work with organisations throughout the region to ensure:

  • More participation - more people regularly participating in sport and recreation

  • More opportunity - develop sport and recreation opportunities across the region

In doing this Sport Tasman staff work to

  • Develop fundamental movement and sport skills in the 0-12 year age group
  • Increase numbers of children and adults in organised sport and recreation
  • Have competent organisations delivering sport and recreation in the community
  • Increase the quality and quantity of coaches and volunteers
