Motueka Recreation Centre

The Motueka Recreation Centre is the centre of recreation happenings in Motueka. As part of the Tasman District Council's recreation team the Centre co-ordinates a range of recreation programmes and opportunities.

We are interested in talking with you about any new programme idea or initiative that you may have.

Opened by the then Minister of Sport, Hon Mike Moore in 1987 the Motueka Recreation Centre is "where it all happens".

Managed by Sport Tasman since 1999 on behalf of the Tasman District Council the Motueka Recreation Centre aims to provide something for everyone. The diverse facility contains a roller rink, fitness centre, cafe, sports stadium, indoor climbing wall, outdoor netball courts, cinema and two martial art dojo's that neighbours Goodman Park and the local BMX and Go kart tracks.
